Jubilee Open House in Winnipeg a Resounding Success

Hi Jubilee Friends

I’m pleased to report an excellent turnout for our Prairie Jubilee Open House in Winnipeg on April 27. Our goal was to spread the word and answer questions about the program, in an attempt to attract seekers to these wonderful teachings.

With 15 people gathered around the circle, PJ Leader Carol Ann Gotch outlined some of the key elements of Prairie Jubilee, a two-year program in spiritual formation and spiritual direction. Participants — which included leaders, alum, board members, current students and potential students — had a chance to ask about the workload, the coursework and other details of the program. The sharing was wonderful, and we were pleased to have the chance to mix and mingle after the formal presentation, allowing more time for individual questions and comments from potential students.

Thank you to everyone who participated, and a special invitation to anyone interested in the program to check out prairiejubilee.ca for more information on the program and contacts who can answer any questions. You will also find links to some excellent video testimonials from graduates of the program!

Now, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the leaders, board members and everyone involved in Prairie Jubilee. As a student in the current cycle, I completed my last residency a week ago and, after finishing my last two papers, will be closing this door to make room for opportunities to put my spiritual direction training into practice. My communications duties will be in good hands, as Dale Bially and our National Jubilee Communications Team continue to ramp up efforts to share the good news about Jubilee.

Thanks to all for this wonderful opportunity!
